My name is Deyan from Bulgaria.Sorry for my bad English in advanc.I am the proud owner of a 2006 L251 Cuore with original 94k on the clock.Since there is no information on these cars in my country i decided to consult the experts here. Im looking to stiffen up the rear suspension because it is way too soft for me right now. But i don’t want to lower it. In fact i am trying to do a rally inspired build. Any ideas on how i could stiffen the rear and maybe even lift it a bit would be greatly appreciated. Also would be happy to know if anyone has added any tipe of LED lights/bars to the front and how do they go about it.
Welcome to the forum,
The best Idea and cheapest way to stiffen the rear would be to get some better rear shocks. In Australia one of the ways this is easily done is using some Hyundai x2 rear shocks (you need to cut the crush tubes flat with the bush). It does make the car slightly lower that is the down side. You could try to find some similar shocks that are a little taller that have eye fittings each end. The other option is some thicker springs in the rear.
Thank you for the response. To he honest i hadn’t thought about the shocks. I was planning to try with thicker and maybe even a little longer springs from a different car. Maybe springs/shocks from a Terios would do the trick while keeping the parts from the same brand.
