So roughly a month ago I tried bypassing the heater system without luck… I then replumbed the heater because it’s getting cold in Canberra and I want a heater…
Anyway so fast forward to Wednesday this week, I pulled up at the lights and thought the car was going to stall, I then looked at the tacho and notice it was idling at about 950rpm…
On the drive home it dipped down to about 600rpm when I was in traffic, just as I clutched in it would dip and return to 950rpm
. It stalled twice
I left it alone until today and checked radiator level, needed coolent about 500mls… Topped that up and bleed the system.
Sparky helped me clean up battery terminals and he redid the earth to the gearbox…
Started and drove around an hour or so, idling perfect… Checked the radiator after it had cooled and still topped up
So maybe it was a blockage in the system that finally got unblocked!!!?
