Hi guys and gals, not sure if this is a unique issue. My Cuore will intermittently just crank and not start, if i use starter fluid in the intake, it will start and be fine again.
It does it when hot or cold. It did it first about a month ago, wouldnt start for 2 days, checked spark etc and last resort tried the starter fluid to see if it was fuel related, it started and has been fine until monday when i stopped at the pharmacy on my way home from work, it cranked but i could hear it wanted to fire so i kept trying until it started, then yesterday it was just cranking again, not even trying to fire until i used the started fluid and then it was fine again, this morning started no issue again.
Could this be fuel pump on its way out?
Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions what it could be.

I would be looking at fuel filter and fuel pump. So I think your on the right track.

Thank you, also thinking fuel pump relay may be faulty, will start there, its a quick cheap replacement, if that doesnt solve, then fuel pump. Im pretty sure the fuel pump isnt cycling when its not starting but i dont recall.
Iām not familiar with the fuel systems on L7s an ā9s. But if they still are equipped with external fuel filters, it would be much easier to remove the filter and dump out any water which could have accumulated within. To renew only the pump, only to experience further starting problems, would be quite disappointing
So update,
Seems the battery was on its way out and has now died, did some research and low voltage could have been the cause as the fuel relay doesnt get enough power when cranking and cannot activate the fuel pump or something to that effect. So ordered a new battery, hopefully this sorts that issue out.
