I’ve recently bought a turbo manifold with a garett td02 for a charade.
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with building turbo daihatsu engines. How much boost could i reliably run, and what do i need to do to the engine?
I’ve heard that i should fit Honda b16 pistons to take the boost, and lower the compression a fair bit. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, are there any other things one should know when turboing a hd-e?
I’ve never done a turbo before so sorry if some of my questions sound kind of stupid, im just really keen to build a mk4 gti chopping charade and i’d love to do it myself.
