Good day, i have been looking for a gearbox for my daihatsu sirion with k3 engine and found out that a 1kr gearbox can fit perfectly on my k3 engine. Now my question is on compatibility as far as the TCM is concerned, will my k3 TCM work with the 1kr gearbox with no issues?

As far as the TCM, I suspect this is governed by readings from the ABS sensors in both front wheels -so its ‘outboard’ of the gearbox. This is just a guess though.
Something you will need to check though is the compatibility of the driveshafts. Are the mount points for the inner CV joints the same as on the Daihatsu gearbox? Are the number of splines the same? Is the diameter the same?
They could well be identical, but well worth checking or you’re in a world of fun* trying to match up inner CV joints and driveshafts and possibly outer CVs too. Otherwise you can’t transmit any drive to the wheels!
