Hi All, I have a 97’ applause HD-E and wanted to open a chat so i could gain some knowledge around this engine. Currently running a mostly stock engine with some minor changes, aftermarket intake, holden injectors, oil cooler and some gauges to keep an eye on engine health. Was just wanting to know about some more things I can do to this car, mostly straights swaps from other Dais or universal mods. Nothing too major as I dont want to blow too much $$$ on this car haha. Any help would be appreciated, I;d be happy to take some pics too

I think your aout of luck with the straight swap thing as the 1.6L is the biggest of the dai engine’s in the H series that I know of . Maybe some things like extraoctors, larger exhaust and some handling Mod’s may be the way to go.

Welcome! as a former 1.6 owner id say Try to find a set of g200 detomaso headers as they are the best for them and get decent air feed into the oem airbox
