Hey guys, this is my main project car aka Ludest. I have my Daihatsu as the reliable daily and fuctional car and a Honda Prelude as my weekend car and long term project.
Its currently getting a manual swap, with an Exedy HD clutch kit and competition lightweight flywheel. As part of the swap we are replacing all major seals and performing general maintenance. The stock hydraulic timing belt tensioner is being replaced with a manual one also. Im not happy with the stock radiator so a nice big aluminum radiator is going in.
Its running Defi rep aftermarket sensor unit and is lowered of YellowSpeed racing coilovers. I have a Hondata S300V3 ready to drop into it and Ive installed an Android headunit which linked into the ECU.
As part of the headunit project I relocated the headunit to the glovebox and made a custom loom to link this to an amplifier in the boot and provide power for the Defi.
For the Defi unit we have tapped the fuel rail to include a pressure sensor. The injectors have also been cleaned, resealed and flow tested.
Ive just started planning an engine build for it. The plan is to use a h22a closed deck block to build a reasonable turbo engine. Around 250-300whp would make me happy but this is very longterm.
Its not the fanciest car in the world but twelve months ago I couldnt tell you what a distributor does and this car has been a great learning device.
Ive put a lot of work into doing this car right and trying to avoid being lumped in with the typical Honda ricer stereotype. Hopefully yous enjoy it.
