I have a 2006 Hijet Jumbo (S210P) 4x4 with the EFSE single cam 660 engine. I am quite certain the K3VE 1.3L from an Atrai7 will fit in the same space but I dont know if the 5speed 4x4 transmission in my hijet will bolt up to the K3VE block.
Has anyone got information on transmission fitment?
Or is it perhaps best to get a manual 5speed AWD transmission from an Atrai7 as well?
should be same if you use the flywheel from old engine?
I have tried an efel to a kv3e2 engine and no they wont bolt up but this was not in a hijet. This was a sirion and an L200 mira. The k3 gearboxes had a bigger bell housing. I would guess it may be the same for what your looking at. If it is the case then the bolt holes wont line up.
But note I have not played with a hijet or an Artai. but being the e series and the k series is what I am making my assumption on.
The size difference has me rethinking the swap. Might be better to swap a twin cam turbo charged EF variant instead.
efdet should be fine I currently have one bolted to an L200 LSD gearbox. (fwd) they are about 47kw stock. which is about 7kw more than the ejde 1.0L
My brain went to the Frankenstein ED bottom end with the EF 12 valve head but it was never native to the van, so a custom inlet manifold would have to be fabricated.
Interesting option. Being in Canada makes that a challenge since Dai engines need to be imported.
I am also looking at a turbo kit or supercharger (like the Sambar). Compression is in a range that 4-5psi boost would work without blowing the head apart.
