I realise I’m probably looking for a unicorn but here goes does anyone have or know someone with a distributor housing for a CB 22/23 24 engine ?

yeh definitely unicorn just need to find someone that has a broken engine and about ready to chuck it. I tried looking for a distributor with no luck so I wish you well with this one.
