Charade G100 light track car

Hello again, 2 years ago I sold my L700 with K3VE2 swap and bought a BMW 330i to use on track days and the Nürburgring, but I always missed my L7. That’s why I wanted it back, but at the end I didn’t wanted to pay the price the new owner wanted for it. But I didn’t wanted to do the swap again.
After thinking my options a little bit (few hours) I thought on my ex Charade G100 1.3 that I used to have when I lived in Chile. That was a great car with good handling. I asked in a Daihatsu WhatsApp group if someone knew of one of these for sale and immediately I was given the contact from someone who had one for sale (thanks to Leo, also on this forum). It was the right engine, with manual gearbox (was auto) and 2 doors. 1 day later I bought it for 500€, without Tüv.
A few weeks later I picked it up and sorted out some issues (mainly rust, but not that bad) and it has now Tüv. That was my first goal.
Now that it has Tüv, I bought some 7x14 wheels (AC Schnitzer) with et25 and make them to get in. I’m going with 185/55r14 semi slicks for the track. For the street some 15’s.
Tomorrow I’m going to install the new suspension. As I live in Germany it’s a bit complicated with coilovers and legality, that’s why I bought KYB shocks and H&R springs.

The idea is to find a good HD engine and port the head, an aggressive camshaft and some other bits. In 1 month I moving out to a house where I could work on the engine.

I will be very grateful for suggestions and ideas or advice.

Now some pics to get this thing moving

They are a fantastic looking Dai. Lots of rally ones still around and the factory supported rallying with good bits when new.

What are your spring rates? Find an lsd for the front. Add a solidly mounted seat that will hold you tight as and it should work with a six point harness. Get your driving position perfect. I would go as far a finding a quiker rack for the steering. Adapt hte car to your driving rather than trying to adapt to the car.

Some little update.

Between Christmas and new year I was able to install the new suspension. KYB shocks with H&R springs. It look much better. I have to buy new tires (semi slicks) for the AC Schnitzer wheels, but that’s a problem for the summer.
In order to drive it in winter I needed some wintertires here in Germany. And I found some 15” Intra wheels from a Clio with winter tires for little money.

I’m moving at the end of January from my a apartment to a big house, so at the moment it’s difficult to install the new bits on the Dai.
The new things that I have are: New (refurbished) Applause brake calipers for the front with brembo Discs and EBC green stuff pads. And the best part, an Applause 1.6 engine with 105hp. The idea is to port the head and increase the compression ratio. Gti exhaust manifold and regrind the camshaft.
