Daewoo Matiz Daihatsu Move l6 part compatibility

I started this thread to document the parts that can be used between the daewoo matiz, aka chevy matiz, chevy spark, cherry qq, pontiac matiz and the daihatsu move l6.

Mainly because replacement daihatsu parts are getting hard to find. The matiz and its other names are relatively easier to find in scrap yards and at part shop counters.

The clutch disc of the matiz fits the gearbox shaft of the Move and has the same dimensions as the Moves clutch disc.

The pressure plate of the matiz fits onto the move flywheel with no issues also.

The release bearing differs in design as the Forks are of a different design also.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, these parts fitting like this means they are compatible right?

The move L6 clutch and Mira L2,L5 Clutch discs also fit on the gearbox shaft of a mk1 3cyl swift g10a engine. Im not surprised it firs the matiz as the matiz engine is an F8C which is sort of a continuation of the Suzuki F8B which was in the mighty boy’s. I have also used Matiz front shocks on an L700 and in a MK1 swift also.

It isn’t unusual for Japanese car companys to share production and parts patents with one another. Even re-badging has been done, between Daihatsu and Subaru, as well as the Swift having been produced together on the same production line with contemporary Subaru Justys, differing in drivetrains, as the Justy was marketted as an all wheel drive vehicle, powered by a larger than the Swift’s engine at 1.3 lites 4 cylinder
