I made another. Less than $5 of metal to make what would have cost me $23 to buy.
Electric water pump mount.
Once it’s all plumbed, I’ll take it apart for ceramic coating in whatever coating is soon to expire.
On another note I’ve been thinking about ceramic coating the whole car red.
pics of the car going into the ceramic washing machine
please
If only it were that simple…
I’m currently coating all the coolant pipe work that has recently finished fabrication. My aim is to fast track this project and get it running really soon. Despite Colan being a reliable form of transport I think the end is nigh.
I hope this means as soon as The handi is up and running that colan gets some fun stuff done also.
It doesn’t seem like much but progress has been made but I assure you it has.
The alternator tension has been lengthened to suit the water pump delete, and also clear the inlet manifold.
The inlet manifold is finally bolted down properly.
The rocker cover has had the breather cut off and tapped to suit 1/4 NPT for a 90° brass fitting to connect to the air cleaner.
The water pump was removed to tighten the bumper bar brackets. Once it’s back in, the hoses will be clamped for the last time.
fantastic to hear mate.
I made a new muffler for the Handivan. I’m going to build a new exhaust, and fit the radiator with new mounting tabs to be welded on.
there is witchcraft and magic in there
It was running but it isn’t at the moment. There have been a few modifications to the original engine but I am hoping to have it running in the next month or two.
The car took a trailer ride to work today.
The headers have been finished and now connect to the exhaust.
This week I’ll get the radiator mounts done.
The car needs various things wired in, I have someone who would be willing to do it for money.
Man this looks so good. Hope to see it on the orad soon
Headers are completed, the clear ceramic coat will cure by Friday. Seeing as the car won’t be started for a while, I’ll be safe to install them beforehand.
They look wonderful!
what size piping did you use?
35 mm (1-3/8") is right on the money for AB 550 AD 620 and CB 993. Pipes merge into 38 (1-1/2").
thankyou sir!
