Hello there
As former K11 micra owner im kinda into “other car suspension” topic.
For micra we were using corsa a/b front legs. Not much to mod, I’ve had heavly modded set, but thats different story.
In micra case, polo legs was mentioned, but no one posted results at forums (maybe info floats at facebook groups)
I’ve had chance to buy polo front legs for ver cheap, decided to give chance.
First tackle was promising but kinda dissapointing, heres few things:
-As topmount im using heavily trimmed bmw e46 hat, it has integrated bearing (like that one, wanted to use it in micra back in the days)
- Leg mount to knuckle has exact same width
-one screw needs to be redrill/trimmed but not much space to make camber adjust
-bottom of the leg is very close to cv joint rubber boot, but only when car is jacked up
-legs are much thicker than stock shock, 7x15 ET40 wheels dont fit ![]()
-ditching the helper spring and move spring all way up doesent help much. Wheel have only 0.5cm of space , also camber seems to be almost positive. I dont know how its possible that Malasyan cars have so much camber. Maybe they re using camber plates at the top.
Overall I’m thinking about gave up the polo way and use “lovering kit” way instead. In this case lover spring perch is above tire, so theres more space for wheel. I wanted to avoid bolton overfenders.
Thinking about test fit daewoo matiz legs. It uses similar suspension setup.
Anyone tried these? Someone mentioned that succesfuly fited polo legs, wonder how he did it and what wheels does he use. Look like theres about 20mm wheel spacer is needed to move wheels further from the spring
