So I bought a 97 Charade in Wagga Wagga, put a clutch and cv shafts into it, some new Fuchs syn oil in the engine and gearbox.
Then drove home to Rockhampton via Bathurst motor museum, and the Classic Car Museum at Gosford (highly recommend) via Bilpin, Galston Gorge and, then on to Swansea for the night. From Swansea to Helidon Spa on day two through the Thunderbolt Way to Warwick Queensland, Helidon Spa for the night. Day three was the final run home from Helidon to Rockhampton, 2090ks for the three days, from 1400+ metres around Lithgow to nearly sea level at home.
It used approx 6 litres per 100k for fuel and absolutely no oil.
It has 338,000k on the clock and cost $400.
A good little drive.ADR approved seat in. KING 360lb fronts 40mm lower.
KING 240lb rears 40mm lower. Strut braces fitted front and rear, having fun.
The turbo manifold is finally here.
