Getting my dream build

I lived in Malaysia a while back, and I my time there I came to love the L700, owning a couple different builds one putting down about 75kw. I’ve missed that L700 more than any other car I’ve had to leave behind when moving countries.

Flash forward 10 years, and I’m about to pick up my dream build from a shop here in NZ. It should be making about 140kw (K3VET) at the wheels with a gear box built to match. Along with the racing suspension and oversized brakes, this should be a wild ride. I’m really looking forward to sharing it with the build form once I get it home.

Sounds like a dream coming true. Well done! I guess you are getting the gearbox built through Compact Motorsports?

Yeah, Tim seems to be the goto for everything Daihatsu here. The build was actually going to be his for the track, hence the ridiculous specs. When I saw him put feelers out to let it go, I didn’t hesitate to jump. He’s done everything I wanted plus some extras. Feel like a kid waiting on Christmas.
