Dose anyone know how to identify which car and model a H engine came from? For example, Charade, early and late production, Terios, HC-C/F, HC-E, HC-EJ and so forth?

I have a H engine but the block only has a “HC” cast on it and the engine number stamped above that.

Secondly is there a difference between blocks and heads? or are all H series parts interchangeable (intake manifolds, accessories mounts, dizzys and coil packs etc)

All pretty much interchangeable mate, some heads have different port sizes and there’s different sumps for FWD and RWD configurations.

C for carburetor and E for EFI

CB is carb and H is efi in Australia

May be but as per daihatsu company programe like microcat HC-C and HC-E are carb and EFI respectively

So is the HD the Disc version?
