Hello everyone! last year I imported a 2000 L750s Naked, that I’d like to share and get some opinions on.
The car as completely stock factory turbo 5 speed fwd.
I am considering taking the car on a very long roadtrip here this year and was looking for input.
The car seems to be in excellent mechanical shape, no leaks, burns, grinds or otherwise, its sitting at 55k km, but Id like to know if there are any reliable modifications I can make to the car. intake, exhaust, boost controller. Ive had many turbo cars before but this is my first Daihatsu.
Any help would be appreciated. Not looking for a ton more power, but a few extra ponies would be ok. Otherwise I just need it to be able to maintain
and cruise at 75mph for sustained distances if possible. Thanks!
Hey mate Welcome, We didn’t get many Naked’s in Australia, A safe bet would be a better flowing exhaust. I don’t even know what engine you got haha! Hopefully some here knows more than I.
Looking it up, it appears identical to an EJ which means that you could swap it out for an export-sized 1 litre, giving you real torque and realistic top speed:
If it is an efdet keep it over the ejde. It maybe a smaller displacement but the factory it is 7hp or kw (I cant remember which with out looking it up) more than the ejde and will rev higher also. There will just be a little less bottom end. @FrAsErTaG I believe will be upgrading his efdet to a tf035 turbo. I am eagerly awaiting to hear how it goes.
