Hi I’m Phil,
I have just bought my first Daihatsu, a Sirion GTvi.
Looking at getting it ready to take to the track in the future. This will be my first fwd track car as I’ve had awd cars in the past. I have a bit to learn with suspension set up and looking forward to working out a good set up.
The engine is burning alot of oil and I’m going to have to get that sorted first. Not sure whether it’s valve stem seals or the rings or a comb of both. Will be looking for a K3 block that I can build up with new pistons, rings and bearings. They seem very hard to come by unless I get one shipped from Japan or Malaysia. If someone in Australia has one or can point me in the right direction that would be awesome.

Welcome to the forum and well done on your first Dai and a gtvi. very nice.
It will more than likely be the rings as when not seviced properly the oil rings get gummed up and stuck in the piston’s. Doesn’t hurt to make the oil holes in the pistons very slightly bigger also.
As for setup for track. Keep the front about stock stiffness and the rear about double or more than what the front is in stiffness.
