hi all my name is brenton im from vic australia and i recently got my first ever daihatsu charade g202 with a carby cb24 for $100. im planing to make a hillclimb/rally/tarmack racecar. i have joined this forum to learn the daihatu platform. i would love to turbo it and maybe efi convert it

hey mate welcome, alot of people like the 4cyl H series charades. My preference is the 3cyl cb24/23, the difference between the 2 is the cb24 does not have points.
The best performance upgrade I found before going turbo was a bigger exhaust and lightening the flywheel made a huge difference to performance without doing any body mdification’s.
Turbo stuff can be found with the cb60 gear from the g11’s , (carb, dizzy, manifold etc) and will bolt to your cb24.
As for efi there was an intake manifold that was available in America (i think) for the cb90 which bolted to the cb 24 also. Please note some of these things are hard to find now and getting more expensive.

i have been looking at stock turbo components the price isn’t bad but it doesn’t last long so ill probally go custom

yeh they are in hot demand. I had a heap of stuff and sold it last year.It did not last long at all.

I’m planning to running a subaru turbo just need to figure out the fuelling side of things
