Increased Fuel Consumption of EF-VE

Hey guys. I recently swapped a 660cc EF-VE with a 4-speed auto transmission. All the wiring is done properly, OBD connected, no codes and everything seems to running well.

The problem is that the car fuel’s consumption does not go above 11km/L whatever I do. I drive with an extremely light foot. I had a manual ED-10 before and that used to give 12-13 km/L. I thought this would be an upgrade in terms of fuel consumption.

Plugs and injectors are good, no misfires, no fuel leaks. Any idea what it could be? Or is this normal consumption for this engine?

Really hard to say. There are quite a few variables. The ED10 are quite torquey compared to the EFve which needs to be revved. The auto will be robbing you of a bit of power and will account for the economy at little bit. What is the compression like?
