Hey everyone, I’m currently building a Daihatsu cuore that I picked up not too long ago. I thought I might aswell make a little list of everything that I’d like to do to the car in the future:
make its super super tidy:
The car has been rotting away in a shed and was always previously involved in a crash. Most the of car is already pretty good seeing it has around 31,000kms on it, however I definitely want to get it looking a little better. I’ve found a bumper, bonnet and fender for it off of a different car, however they’re not in the best condition at all. Ideally I want to replace those with much nicer panels, aswell as just giving the whole car a little love.
Handling components:
aswell as being for cosmetics, I definitely want the car sitting a little lower. I’m currently daily driving the car so I obviously want it to be as functional as possible, however at the moment it has a ton of body roll and is very floaty. Depending on how the car sits with coilovers, I might give it a bit of negative camber, just so I’m not wearing the outside of my tyres too much. As far as brakes go, I might upgrade them in the future if the car becomes a little more than a daily.
Other big things:
A lot of this stuff all depends on whether or not I keep this as a daily, or make this thing a little weekend car / track car. I’d absolutely love to manual swap this thing, I think it’d make the car 10x more enjoyable. Turboing the car also sounds like a pretty fun idea so I may do that aswell. I’m not too familiar with superchargers however I have access to one that MIGHT fit my car, so if that works then that’s also an option. I also want the cuore to sound a bit better too, however I’m not sure if I’d want to get an exhaust for it while it’s still automatic. If you’ve got any info on how they sound with an exhaust while still being auto please let me know :).
Other small things:
I’ve probably missed a lot of the things that I have planned but for now I might just list a couple things here. Possibly darker tint, central locking, cosmetic mods (little spoiler and hood scoop etc), maybe different seats, other small engine stuff.
