Like the title would suggest, I havent really seen any k3ve swaps for classic mini other than the one K3VET in Japan. I wonder if it is common in anywhere?
Hi, I wouldn’t call it common, but it’s tempting, indeed.
I’m currently playing with a JB-DET in a classic Mini shell.
There are quite a few Minis in Japan with that conversion in order to register the Mini as a K-car.
The dimensions of both engines are pretty similar, the gearbox is the same - so that should work.
For me the beauty of such a conversion is that you don’t have to hack into the Mini’s body and thus could reverse the swap, if needed.
