Contacting for hopefully a quick question. On l200s and l500s, do the front bake lines connect to the front (nearest to engine) or the back (nearest to firewall) of the master cylinder. Cause my l200 currently has the front right and the rear brakes connected to the front of the master cylinder and then the front left connected to the rear which makes no sense to me. I’m curious what the correct configuration is and I’m also mentioning l500 as I’ve ordered a new master cylinder and may be for a l500 instead.
Most cars are diagonally split. Kinda been the norm for 40 years and helps in the event of brake failure apparently. So yes, the front port will be one front and one rear brake, and the rear port will be opposite. Whatever your tracings is, as to which go where is probably correct. I’ve got my split front and rear on purpose with a bias adjuster in the cockpit.
I would agree with you but both rears are on one brake line with a T split so the front of the master cylinder currently powers both 3 rears and the front right and then the rear only does the front left. Which just made me a bit more hesitant. Cause my master cylinder has only 3 out puts. 1 at the back of the master cylinder and 2 at the front. I guess it possibly they did it like that as a weird form of diagonal redundancy.
