Hello. im Leon im new to this forum. i recently bought a 1997 Daihatsu Mira TR-XX Avanzato R.

to my surprise the car (automatic 4JT gearbox) didnt shift into 2nd and 4th so i had only 1st and 3th. i opened the oil pan and saw a valve had broken. new valvebodys and gearboxes are hard to comebye. so my dad tought that all Cuore/Mira 4 speeds would fit. he was kinda right ish. he bought a 4BS from a 05 Cuore. and to my suprise the valvebody is 1-1 identical. today i installed it in my 4JT japanese gearbox and the car never ran more smooth. so if someone has this struggle BUY A 4BS FROM A 05 CUORE.

ps oil pan and clutchpacks also fit.

That Mira of yours had to have been converted from a 3-speed automatic to a 4, given that only 3-speeds were available, during that model year and even during several years thereafter

Many l502’s came 4speed out of the factory
