I’ve got the motor in and all wired up but I think I’ve wired the alternator or ground or starter wrong because it’s powering on but not cranking I’ve notice there’s 2 earths that come from the battery one of which is loose but idk what to mount it to I think it used be be mounted on the auto gearbox I’ve tried temporarily bolting it to the gearbox and seeing if it’s cranks but still nothing. I’m quiet confident that all the other wiring is correct just maybe not the start or alternator
From what I’m reading online, when you do a manual swap your car need to know it’s in park or neutral before it starts and since it was a auto car before I gotta somehow figure out what to bypass and how
Hey guys update turns out everything was wired correctly it was the gear sensor on the auto box being unplugged didn’t allow the car to start you could probably bypass it but what I did was take off the sensor and zip tie it hidden in the engine bay and left it at neutral

I have a clutch cable end if you need one, and both auto and manual axles will work. Also, the flywheel without the shrouding would be a EF/ED flywheel, they’re pretty useful as they’re much lighter than the EJDE ones.
Also, I may have a manual non immobilised ECU here if you would prefer. Straight swap in the same spot and manual will increase the idle RPM by a slight amount (100-200) with accessories on over the auto box.

Planning on selling off all the parts that are now not needed like the other manual transmission and shifter ect aswell as the l701 auto box

Hey fellas new update on the swap, got everything working and back to normal also deleted the ac while I was at it both on the engine and in the interior but I’ve noticed after doing the swap if I give it one semi decent pull I get a CEL once I turn the car off it goes away but once I give it a decent pull agian it will pop back up any idea what it would be? All fluids are good temperature is good maybe it’s a sensor from the old auto gearbox cable? Or ac sensors ect being unplugged and no longer being used? Or is it somthing more serious? Also any idea what obd port the l701 Coure uses so I can pick up a scanner?
To add to that CEL I have noticed it does a little backfire after hard acceleration ever since I got a muffler delete
What makes it tricky is there is so many things it could be caused by being ac delete, manual swap, or somthing like a faulty o2 sensor I’d much rather get a scanner tool to find out what’s wrong with it any advice on what scanner to get? I belive my port is obd2
OBD1 and dont bother with the port. What do you mean by CEL? Sorry if I’m having a durr moment. I have done a fair amount of driving today and a bit tired.
