I know there will be an answer here somewhere but I haven’t been able to find it so hopefully someone can help me out!
I’ve just pulled the ejde engine and box out of a sirion donor car to fit to my l200 Mira and I’m wondering what drive shafts I’m going to need. I’d like to swap the wheel knuckles and brakes over from the sirion also while I’m at it.
Will I need to get a drive shaft machined or can I order one that will do the job?
Cheers!

the passenger side drive shaft will be fine but you will need the driver side drive shaft from the sirion cut sleeved and shut to work. This has been covered many times over the years. I believe @ceiliee was the last one here to cover it. There are other ways such as getting a jackshaft from Japan or an LSD gearbox with jackshaft set up. (there are 2 jackshaft setups) You will also need L700 lca’s. Or keep your current L2 setup and just change the engine.

Awesome. Thank you. Sounds like getting the driveshaft shortened and sleeved is the way to go

You’ll most likely need to shorten and sleeve the axles. It’s not particularly hard though most definitely not advised if you require RWC or other inspections. My axles I made with a cheap MIG welder and balanced myself have lasted quite well over 6000km now. With a fair bit of spirit put through them. I’d advise taking your pedal box out from the sirion and the Mira and comparing them, you’ll want to use the better design clutch cable as the L2 one will snap. If your Mira is EFEL you’ll want to use the flywheel and pressure plate from that with a EJ clutch disc. You will need the 3mm spacer found behind normal EJDE flywheels!
Also, you will need the corresponding speedo drive cable from the gearbox, it will fit in the standard Mira cluster though.
Check out my parts guide if you need a hand with bits and pieces, also you can PM on Facebook through the livetodai group if you need.
Best of luck! The conversion is definitely worth it!
