Hi, I’m Martin. I found a GTti with a CB80 in a barn. I bought it.
Most of the parts are there inside the car. I’m probably going to restomod the car back to life. It’s not been on a public road for over 20 years. I have already managed to start the car, it idles a bit fast but it’s a good sign. Nearly everything works as well, I haven’t tested the electric sunroof yet.
It needs plenty of welding along the drivers sill and the trailing arm mounting points. Will start a progress thread when I clear my feet of a few other projects.
I also have a Hijet with EF-NS which is getting a bit tired, so will probably modify that too at some stage.
It is pretty ordinary, its still hard for me to source some parts though. These have always been rare here in Scotland. The winter roads and all year round humidity absolutely wreck them.
I’m really chuffed to find a CB80, and it runs so smooth too, no ticking from it or anything. Oil is clean too. I’ll be getting the bodywork and welding done before I strip down the engine and give it a refresh.
