[I’ve never yet seen a three-row balancer pulley on one of these yet:

Hopefully, they didn’t change the bellhousing’s bolt pattern, at Toyota’s request, like they did with the Citroen, Peugeot and Toyota Aygo series.
The lower horsepower may be due to an altered camshaft profile.
Where there’s an entire engine, there also must be an entire cylinder head available, separate from the block

Lower HP partly due to having to spin up that flywheel.

Thats a massive flywheel

Even so, the increased horsepower would be moved to a higher R.P.M. range (typical of all multi-valved head engines) of which would be ideal on the track. But would prove to be a disadvantage for hill-climbing of which low-end torque would be needed instead

efel head on this ed20 with a TD04L turbo

don’t forget, that motor is out of a forklift so it won’t be made for all out power but to keep the motor inertia spinning, also they don’t have a dizzy attached and have an LPG carb setup, would love to have one just to say have a brand new ED
