Hey lads my name’s Josh and about 3 months ago i bought this - a grandma spec '98 Sirion with the EJ-DE motor. 5 speed manual with only 67,000km on the clock. Only downside is that since it was barely being driven, so many things have just disintegrated, so heaps of stuff needs replacing. I’m completley new to the daihatsu scene and looking for any general tips and advice on how to best enjoy this weirdo. Any advice on maintenance, performance, wheels, comfort, anything - All advice is welcome

Welcome. I briefly had one same spec and colour. It was like it had not had a service for years. The ej-de is a great motor but needs oil and filter at least at the factory stated service interval.

I love the oddball sirions even though they are mainly used as parts cars they still have an ugly charm that makes them great in my opinion.

M100 Sirion with the EJ is peak for getting around town. I prefer them over the k3ve2.
