Changed timing belt and tensioner on the L80
Changed also aux. belt
Appears to be never changed before

opened the carb some liquid gasket (red) fell into the floating chamber and put it stuck
Removed and now need a new gasket

Those look cast in aluminium alloy. If so, the best I could do was to find TRW aluminium cylinders, years ago. You seem to have unusual luck in finding high-quality parts

these are OEM with the logo scraped off.
the rest is NLA these were hard to find already

Won the L70V TR-XX instrument cluster as he relisted it the last bidder didnt pay it

Seems RDW is on Holiday
yesterday they approved the import process
Paid BPM (import fee for cars) 0 Euros and filled in form online
Import took place 23-7-2026
Its finished on 15-08-2026

So after 3h searching found the problem
My Vacuum timing assist died
Thats why its idling rough, backfires, hesitates, CO to high
Last owner just deplugged whole system thats why it did run
I re-routed all according system
Vacuum tested the timing advancer part and no vacuum holding
Used the Parts Catalogue to find the parts and routing
Also used oem WM book to compare
Installed also another battery its a new start stop battery
Old one needed for another project

Got the vacuum part in:
Retard is leaking
Advance is holding steady
So will blank retard as per TSB
and only fit advance hose
Also got Yamaha OEM blanks
Better against heat

That’s an interesting battery. Being made in Japan, one can’t go wrong. Neither Amazon, ebay nor Idealo carry it, though.
Your distributor’s retard diaphragm must be leaking at the seam. Did you try using silicone to seal it for testing? Even though the Yamaha vaccuum advance and retard unit looks identical to the Daihatsu’s, that doesn’t guarantee that both are identically calibrated
