Project Nuthe-Urstromtal-Schöneweide L80 1986 Silver oem+ project

So there was a Kleinanzeigen advertisment on a Daihatsu L80 working condition

Grandpa (1943 born) had their knees operated and cant drive anymore

He has the car since new and I picked it up

For 500euros I wont let this chance slip especially has no rot on chassis and subframe

Its a 5 speed manual very rare

So far no rust holes found and almost no rust

kept inside always

Will upload picture when I have converted them back from AVI-F file format
At 500 Euros its a good find

Some pictures from Kleinanzeigen:

Here is a preview:

And was most likely never driven on salty roadways. Even when not, I’ve seen rust poke through where owners would neglect cleansing wheelwells from debris. This first owner has presented an outstanding example of discipline.

Just out of curiosity, what did you end up paying for it and did it have a valid T.Ü.V. upon purchase?

It’s good to know that LED bulbs fit in these instrument clusters. Is the cluster’s lighting now brighter? This is one reason as to why I would like to convert mine to LEDs, given that there is no way to adjust brightness

So, the original radiator was made from copper. This would be a replacement idea for L5 and 6s, given that they’re reasonably repairable

original one is made from plastic top and under tank.

replacement oem is made from 100% copper
Its a rebuilt unit

A company locally can replace the heater matrix core separately
using old school techniques
