…Due long not been registered they need to check with the German amt if it is not stolen…
Strange. When I brought in my L601 from the Netherlands to Germany, nobody bothered to care if it was stolen or not. The inspection facilities here concern themselves only with safety and emissions issues. Their authority doesn’t extend to policing

What is an ā€œItalian Tune Upā€?

this car has been deregistered for too long.

After 5 years they print it out in the archive and delete it in the system

Manual labour to find the paperwork back

Its a stereotype of Italian drivers that they use the rev limiter as the ā€˜change up’ point in each gear while driving.

An ā€˜Italian tune up’ is a term for driving the car hard in low gears to really exercise the engine and blast out any deposits from being driven slowly in high gears (by old people usually!) It tends to work really well for getting the catalytic converter nice and hot to get through emissions tests for example

Just curious does taking so many pics as your working slow you down heaps? I couldn’t imagine trying to take so many. Every couple of minutes I feel I would have to wash my hands get phone or camera take photos, do a little bit and repeat.
Not picking on your process just wondering if it takes a lot longer and if it gets annoying to do so? Also do you sell the images on other platforms as stock photo’s or something else? Genuinely curious.

no I want to keep it. Its every time I finished a category I take picture.

Some picture are taken between some time I place it then in one reaction.

One of my helpers take pictures for me so I can keep going working and dont need to clean hands a lot

Washed the car from dirt

No brush just only water

Found my L251/276 floor mats

Deep washed it and drying now

Found a invoice when the car was bought new

1L:21km = 4.76L/100km is good for its age will see what the lucas injector cleaner will do

Took the driver seat out and found a donor seat to replace the fabric

Greased really thin the headrest pins as they didnt move good

My mother is good at sewing
She replaced the fabric, filled the foam up to its original height

I also lubricated the ignition lock

I did paint the oxidised parts of the Trevis wheels

Will remove the silver paint off the tyre soon

I also made a nightshot of the car

The Chili has never been running highway speeds higher than 100 km/h
So I am pushing it this time to get the engine a bit looser

My evap valve has failed this week.

Will inspect it later and replace what is needed

So far no problems except that

replaced evap system due collapsed canister
replaced evap sensor
did alignment on the chili
sprayed wax in all crevices under the car

What were the specification results of the alignment? Were adjustments required or did you have this done, as a precautionary measure?

Because of the suspension and subframe upgrade
