Rust - a story of two Daihatsus

My two cars are both 2004 models and both had done about 60,000 miles when I got them.

The difference in how they have fared in UK weather is amazing - here are some images.

Sirion first. This might be the most un-rusty Sirion in the UK -

The only rust I have found is on the driver’s side windscreen pillar, from a stone chip which didn’t get treated.

It really needs sills done and the rear wheel arches aren’t great either. On saying that, I have seen a lot which are much worse. At least the rear panel under the bumper still exists, and the inner sills are 100% good…
