Sard Radiator/ATF queries

Hey guys, my handi came with a new sard rad not fitted. As i easily put one in my previous 4 door (i miss you if your reading this), ive run in to a bit of a snag.

Oem rad has a atf fitting on it. Ill be the first one to admit i have never encountered this before. So my question is, is the sard rad no good for this application? And if it is correct, how the hell is it supposed to work

does the fitting in your stock rad screw into the sard?

Im not sure, even if it did, I have come to learn that in the stock rad there is a closed off loop for trans oil. So this one is a no go as there is no secrion closed. Must be for a manual engine. Not auto! Darn looks like ill have to manual swap…:rofl::rofl:

just get a small transcooler or is it a good excuse to manual swap it?

Where are you located? You might not even need a transmission cooler and could just loop the input and output pipes together.

I did exactly this with a Mazda MX5/Miata a while back and its been fine. I live in the UK where the ambient temp seldom gets above 25c for any length of time

true mate! thats a really good call! unfortunately, here in AUS…well you can probably fill in the rest haha thanks man

If your car is a manual dont use the holes. Check during filling of coolant that doesnt leak then youre fine
