I’ve always had this idea myself. That is to do a Dai as a homage to the MG 6R4 Grp B.
This is from a FB post about Lakes Hillclimb posted by Cam Freeman. Does anyone have any info on this early L 200?

1981 Dai Scat diesel on Facebook market place orig 40 000km
There was a beautiful restored one I posted in the fb group a little while back. It is gone now but it was a light brown colour and diesel also. It was listed for about $6000 from memory.
Drag Feroza for sale (less engine)

Original Hijet from about 1964
Dai Hijet with an 1800cc sohc two valve per cyl Honda Goldwing engine swap. There are a few other videos at the channel. For a bike engine swap, it’s shaft drive and will have reverse. The later model again of this has a bit more power and torque as it’s four valve per cyl.
Not much on the build, but if you find or know more I’d love to hear or please share.

He’s not going to have that Hi-Jet very long, if he continues to cut off oncoming traffic. The driver of that approaching vehicle somehow knew that he was going to pull out in front of him, without using his mirror.
Being watercooled, a Goldwing engine is what the doctor ordered for overcoming the Hi-Jet’s inherend heat build-up problem.
That van, being somewhat twice the weight of a Goldwing motorcycle, seems to move out of its own way pretty good
Yes, call him. Brilliant idea.
That’s AI bro
Oh (Sigh). Thanks.
Saw this earlier and thought, “hmm I don’t remember seeing it on LivToDai”.
The 2023 Vision (concept) Copen RWD 1300cc. There’s a Copen shell out there somewhere just waiting for a front mounted motorcycle engine and RWD.
