Epic car mate!

For the throttle coolant bypass, did you lust remove one hose and loop the other back to the heater line?

Also, did you end up solid mounting the subframes? How did that go? Very keen to hear!

Thanks! It has been fun trying to keep this car competitive against other small cars.

For the throttle body bypass; when I changed the radiator I had a lot of the cooling system parts removed, including the thermostat. So I removed the T-pieces that feed the throttle body and just got two straight connectors. I read that on the Cuore’s that the T-piece usually fails. I wasnt sure if that affected the Sirion’s as well, but thought changing that part and simplifying the cooling system was a good move. And even if it makes no real difference, the throttle body doesn’t need to be hotter than it has to be.

No, I never managed to solid-mount the subframe. Unfortunately, progress stopped on the Sirion back then. I relocated to perth and was flying back n forth for events. But now live overseas and that is much harder / more expensive.

Actually, the plan is to sell the Sirion, possibly around November this year.
I wanted to do one last track day in it, but that is looking less and less likely to be able to take that much time off to do some mods, prep it and race it.

Awesome, i think ill keep the loop as i know the same setup on a subaru requires that loop to keep the system running normally…as in needs that bleed between the cool and hot circuits

So might just loop like i mentioned and keep an eye on the t pieces

Sad to see ya sell but its a cool car so will be funnfor someone else
