Hi Guys, I’ve got a Trxx dash cluster installed in my L200 but the speedo undereads by about 10kph is there any way to recalibrate it ? Its had a EFJL dropped in so Im running the 5speed box with LSD, when it still had the standard instruments installed read fine. Cheers
what wheels are you running?
Hi mate 145/70
ok its not wheels then. It was my first thought that you may have bigger wheels. How to fix it Im not sure. I had one that pretty much didnt work and I removed it and modified to the cluster to fit a gps one. It actually almost looks stock, but doesn’t have an odometer anymore.
I might pull my old stock one apart and see if theres any adjustment, obviously the gauge is different but being of same era I’d assume similar tech. My trxx odo has only 60k on it . . . Thats basically a new car in my books
I’ve added a remote GPS speedo to my Suzuki whose factory speedometer goes out intermittendly. This is especially important, when driving through Switzerland where speeding is expensive. Problem is, the GPS shuts off in tunnels.
Perhaps, toying with replacing the stock speedo’s resistors might help calibrate it or else go with different diametered wheels
I can finally chime in, my first time really looking into this but I’ve had a similar experience with my L60.
By the looks of it the L200 with the 5 speed lsd from the trxx ran either 155/70r12 or 155/70r13 tyres.
Basically the speedo drive off the secondary shaft is toothed to match the tyres.
