I’m try to get a budget scan tool for my 2001 Australian L700 Cuore, I have tried 2 different ebay OBD2 scanner with no success. ChatGPT says take even though these early 2000’s model Japanese cars have a standard OBD2 socket they use the older Japanese diagnostic protocol (JOBD) rather than full modern OBD-II.
Can anyone verify if a (JOBD) scanner works before i purchase one or suggest a scanner that works?

does the 2k5 model have the OBD 2 PORT?
no idea what the 2k5 model is. What is it you want to scan the obd port for? We have downloadable manuals you can fin in the Manuals section. I believe there is a pinout for the obd port in one of the manuals.
sirion 2005 model. I got an OBD2 scanner that told me it cant connect to my ecu ,I was.wondering if the port is also OBD1 or is it just the software that might be bad.
I have a 2004 Sirion and I am able to connect to the ODB2 using a Delphi DS150e clone, so a 2005 model should definitely be OBD2 and able to be interrogated by a working scan tool.
I will say that there isn’t a lot of info, but I can read fault codes, clear fault codes, check sensor readouts and things.
