Hello!
First of all thank you guys very much for the warm welcome!
I feel very welcome and included.
I have a question about the brake setup of my 2003 Sirion 1.3 SR.
I need new brake calipers but their so hard to come by, atleast were I live.
So I was wondering does anybody know about other calipers that fit, like those from a Daihatsu YRV or something?
Or perhaps the calipers from the pre-facelift model Sirion/Storia?
Or wich all new brake setup to use?
Any advice is welcome!
Cheers!
I can’t remember is there is a difference between the 1.3 and the 1.0l sirion with caliper’s.
They should fit and also you should be able to fit ones from yrv, copen also. The main thing will be you may have to get the right size disc to suit and possibly wheel size as 13’s won’t fit over copen brakes. I cant remember about 14’s or not but someone has said it in here somewhere.

Are there any companies locally who refurbish calipers? Here in the UK we have several well-regarded companies who you post your calipers to, they refurbish them, replace all seals and pistons and then return them to you. I had mine done by a firm called Bigg Red which cost ~£160 GBP for a pair of single piston calipers and am very happy with the result.

I am indeed thinking about referbish the calipers.
But then I have to take the calipers of in my street and let my car stand there for a while, wich is not ideal. But 160 GBP is not bad, thanks for the info!

Thanks for the info!
Today my buddy wich is also my mecanic, had a good look underneath the Sirion and he think he can do a Siron second gen brake swap.
I already bought second gen Sirion calipers a while ago, so lets hope I can use them
