Port match, flowing and refurbed valves

Guy who did the head said it was one off the worst flowing heads he ever seen.
Mind you, he is used to motorbikes.

Anyways, slowly but surely…

Very cool to see, I am interested to see how this turns out

Thanks for documenting as you go!

Pressed(!) Out the pins and pressed in the new.
Never had to do that before, normally piston pins are held in place with clips, but there you go.

Ej rods did NOT fit the k3 pistons .
Had to make room to give extra play.
Milled down the inside of the pistons a bit.
Hope i gave it enough , will see with install.

That is what I wanted to do but I gave the pistons away years ago when I never had an ejde and now I have one and the piston’s went awol lol. It is a good engine anyway so I don’t want to pull it apart yet lol Maybe in future

Clearance measured on crank and rods, all within spec, so assembly is next .
Had the head inspected by specialist and they’re doing a valve seat adjustment where needed.
Meanwhile doing some bodywork on the Cuore.

Might still have a set. Found some about that size. Foggy memory. Found a solid Dai
puck clutch too. Will put aside for you.

Test drive was not great.
Et is completely off.
Tyre rubs really bad on the rear wheel arch, with standard springs.
Tyres are Yokohama blue earth 165/55/14.
Was planning on doing sirion front arms and axles in the future and build diy rear beam.
Might just try camber shims in the rear for now and hope it works.
Any suspension advice is appreciated.
