So ive been told on my ej-ve engine has 2 cam sensors, engine ive fitted only has one ej-de, i had already fitted the second one, but I’m guessing the trigger wheel on cam end is not fitted due to non vvt.

yeh that would be correct the ejde only has the one that is on the front or timing belt side and the ejve has the extra one at the back like what you have pictured.
We did not get ejve in Aus, I have the cams and solenoid but not the extra trigger on the back of the cam like what you have pictured. :frowning:

Oh dear.:grimacing: no going back.

So this is the inlet camshaft trigger wheel for rear camshaft position sensor. Tapped off really easy so going to disassemble engine to fit. Going to be fun. Yes I have marked it so i know which way it sits.

Today’s job, get it running and that pesky eml out. First get it fixed and all back together. Accomplished that, ready for first start!!! :grimacing:
Did it go out or not?

Here’s the answer.

did the trigger wheel only go back on one way or did you have to get it in a certain spot etc for timing?

Had to be in a certain position.

was there markings? or did you have to calculate it so it was it the right degrees?

The lugs on trigger wheel all spaced equally, one lined up perfectly with casting mark on camshaft.

On a lighter note away from engine work, my totally legit😉 seat covers. I mean everything from ali-express is genuine right?
