Getting the A/C and suspension complete
Changed rear shocks to L251.
A huge improvement compared to the L501 shocks they have installed on the L701
Trying to install some springs, They are too long so didn’t fit.
Fitting today Sirion 2 wheels and brakes upgrade from a Sirion 2
Got the evaporator installed in the car.
And the A/C button, need to swap the whole panel over as the blank button is not a separate piece.
For the evaporator, some reinforcement needed to be cutted inside the box to fit the sirion m100 evaporator
Installed the A/C inside engine bay.
Just need to fill after install and done:
Also new bulbs inside the A/C panel:
A/C installation in engine bay:
Regassed the system and wow its even colder than my 276 this A/C.
I had some time left and installed also 234mm brakes from L276.
Will do a Materia brake swap when the 14inch wheels fit on the 701.
…its even colder than my 276…
Either the system isn’t fully charged or it’s somehow stuck on defroster mode where both the A/C and heater core simultaneously dehumidify incoming air
L276 only works really cold when on recirc.
It has also 100gr less gas than the L701
installed M100 new shocks
L701 lowering springs
L701 top bearings:
Painted the wheel wells also with hammerrite:
Some Dai mini meet without persons at work:
From here, it doesen’t look like there’s much difference in ride height, if any whatsoever. With those new progressive front springs, is the ride more comfortable? If so, I might go searching for progressive springs for my L601 of which it could only ride more comfortable whatsoever
It does lower but, we didnt drive after installing on the picture.
Its 35mm
Replaced a T piece coolant hose again.
Common Failure on older Daihatsu Cuores
Did some errands and floored it at night on the Highway:
…Replaced a T piece coolant hose again…
What did you replace it with?
aluminium one
Got my tyres in:
Front 165/55/14
rear 165/60/14
Yokohama Bluearth Summer
Did also the 247mm brake conversion
Painted the caliper to silver
Calipers are the same
Calipers holder and discs not
Pads are the same as 234mm
Very easy to convert from 234 to 247mm (no brake bleeding needed)
Also installed new A/C belt old one was squeaking
