Blower also makes a screeching noise so used one.
Fixed the blower,
Seems still on full power not enough
old one was good worn
maybe resistor replacement next time
Fixed AC leak now permanently.
Replaced also master cylinder to 22mm (7/8inch)
Brake pedal spongyness is almost gone.
It was 19mm (3/4inch)
Fixed midconsole lightening,
will later get the correct colour ones
Did a small meeting yesterday with L251,L701 and L276.
I also painted the side storage to silver as this was an option on mine.
I will redo it with the correct paint.
It is better than the scratches on the panels
and restored all the bulbs working

Somebody must have replaced the original master cylinder with a wrong one, then. Did you order the new cylinder exactly according to your vehicle’s identification number or is it a cylinder determined for a different vehicle type or brand?
No its because the calipers I have are bigger now than before.
Also it was already spongy when I bought the car.
Daihatsu Terios master cylinder is much better now. Its the same size as the Materia as I have the brakes of the Materia
Its very easy with a small master cylinder and big calipers you get spongyness on the brake pedal.
Thats why most Japanese cars come with big master cylinder and small calipers
A/C testing, works flawlessly except the blower is not going quick enough on pos. 4.
Will order a resistor new see what happens.
Installed new cabin filter trim/flap.
Also installed JDM instrument cluster.
Everything works plug and play no mods needed
Need to adjust the mileage to the correct one.
…Towed it back from Freiburg…
It’ll be 10 years this October since I moved out of Freiburg. Nevertheless, I still recognize the area west of the railroad tracks. Haslach, maybe, from the looks of it. Not a nice neighborhood, in any case.
Did you buy it from a private person or from a car lot? I know, it’s odd to ask. I scrolled back to the beginning of this thread, initially to find out if you also converted your rear drum brakes to discs. That’s also a remote possibility for my L 601, in case I would ever need a master cylinder of which would no loger be available for left-hand drive vehicles of this type
…Rear shocks replaced with Aygo ones 03-06-2024…
…installing rear shocks of much heavier car…
Did the Aygo’s shocks not fit properly or was the reason for replacment to do with obtaining sporty handling?
…done the condenser of my A/C as preventative maintenance…
Well, if refrigerant escaped, I would hardly call it “preventative maintenance”. Stones pelting a low-hanging condenser is a common problem. My neighbor’s taking her Audi to the dealership, to get hers replaced. I constructed my own bug and stone screen, through cutting one out of an old bicycle’s cargo basket

I didn’t know Germany still makes springs. Even if these didn’t lower your car, they certainly are an improvement over stock springs, given that they’re progressive. Did you deliberately order these from a German manufacturer or did they arrive as a surprise package?
…They took over the TUV report…
But T.Ü.V. doesen’t take RFW reports. If they did, I would have saved plenty of money, simultaneously driving a dangerous car
RDW does take over the tuv report.
I know the 276 should be the best one but NO…
Its my dream Daihatsu when it was new in the showroom
I had my driving licence for like a few months back in those days (2008)
Its my daily driver so a lot mileage this year (about 20000km)
I know more friends have the same problem as mine here.
They spent more money saving on quality of the parts than making it better
I need to buy Toyota parts to fix the 276 as a lot are interchangeable and better quality
They made in pretty much uniformity parts so till newest Toyota as it is interchangeable
The last best Daihatsu is the L701/L251 or anything that is related to them
the rest is now fixed.
Better to do this way than buying a more expensive one in Holland
and still need to do all this.
It was from a private person
Terios 2006-2016 master cylinder is still available (7/8", 22,66mm)
No need to relocate filling house as this is same as the Cuore 276 one.
Almost a 1:1 swap if factory
didnt crossthread the rear thread
new and used (check autodoc)
The Aygo rear shocks didnt make the car feel better just same as stock.
A/C was working, it didnt had a leak on the condensor.
Just a peace of mind replaced it.
Vogtland still makes the lowering springs for Daihatsu
Lowered 40mm rides a lot better with lowered and new shocks
I got my blower resistor in finally after 1 week:
Working on the HDB today.
