Its getting P0300, P0301, P0302 P0303 with these coilpacks.

Strange thing no misfire at all even on WOT. I resetted it once came back later after 300km.

Fuel consumption is even lower with these coilpacks

Hi fellow l276 owner!
I came across this project and saw you installed a sway bar in the front.
The l276 has some awful body roll but i cant seem to find a sway bar and end links.
Do you maybe have part numbers?
Love how the car looks btw

The swaybar is from an automatic cuore 276. They do sell it with the subframe combined here. Swaybar links can be found on the internet.

Install also better springs and shocks from KYB.
Original isnt that good.
Rears are weak, Its even thinner than 251 shocks. suggest to replace to bigger ones.
The swaybar is from an automatic cuore 276…
That they issued a thicker sway bar for that minor increase in weight is interesting. How much thicker is the automatic’s sway bar?

What do you really hope to achieve with a bigger sway bar? You said reduce “roll”. Can you explain if it understeers, oversteers or is neutral. Big bar is only good if you have severe understeer which I doubt. Roll will be cross body weight transfer and though a small rear bar will help the best solution is higher weight rear springs (keep the front std rate springs if you want to reduce wheel spin and kill any understeer, and double of triple the rear rate). There are other things to do geometry wise to reduce roll, but a bigger bar is in my experience a huge step in the wrong direction.

Shouldn’t. Sounds wrong. From reading this thread what has been done is far from compressive. They will corner neutral picking up the inside rear wheel off the ground before the back end goes out. The only way to make the back slide should be with a hydro handbrake.

nvm

Australian delivered Hyundai Excel rear shocks fit. They compress further and have less drop (both good things so it can be lowered without bump stop issues and when extended at max corner speed the inner wheel need not touch the ground anyway). There are some good choices here for them as there is a race series for these. I have fitted Koni red with great success. If over steering the tires will be sort of skipping. The Koni give you good basic adjustment but one ends gets unbolted
to adjust. Best bang for buck with external adjustors was Sachs that had a screw for rebound.

I still say big front bar is totally the wrong way to go. Test with it and without if you must. Better yet get someone else to fit it and do a “blind” test so you go for two drives without knowing which bar is in it.

nvm

I did with my cuore 887km on a fuel tank. Still not empty. See my average. This is a Materia Tank (40L)

Yes the L276 (Mira) came here. The thing should understeer. If it oversteers at all you have massive problems. Saying “Corrolla … shocks” means nothing. Factory? Age? They will be rubbish, and if oversteering “dangerous”. Get rid of them and put something if not anything brand new in. To oversteer they will not be controlling the spring frequency and the rear will be skipping or getting a bounce oversteer.

They aren’t “cheaply built”. Daihatsu are extremely well built to a low price point. Chinese cars are “cheaply built”. An L276 can be made to work quite well. The front A arm strut is an exceptional basis for a track car and is pretty high end if you think these are made as I said to a “price point”. The beam rear can work really well. Unless you get a quality damper/shock in the thing it would be waste doing anything else whatsoever and expecting it to “handle”. So for being so tough on you. The car needs to be adapted to your driving and not you attempting to adapt to something that in my opinion has flogged worn out shocks.

Ok. You are nuts. If it oversteers already a rear sway bar will make it worse. Mod for mods sake. I’d wish you good luck but I rather wish you safety.

I didnt use the car 1month now and first start a lot of blue smoke after 10mins its gone.
I guess valve seals.
After another start no smoke anymore

Washed the car and all fine:

Did also a short top speed run on the Autobahn still the same top speed:
With the decat it did run faster…
