Storm Trooper - Handivan L60V

Well, for those who don’t know, Travel life has come to an end, unfortunately, but there are always silver linings, and this happens to be one of them.

I was on another Daihatsu Facebook group the other day, and when I dropped in an advert for this wonderful car was there and the advert was 2 mins old. The price was right, and I sent a message.
I figured I missed it, but about an hour later, I got a message back saying, "I can come and get the car ". (The price was … Free).
So the next morning, I hooked up the trailer and went to get it. The guy used it to teach his kids to drive. They overheated it, and it sat in the shed for 7 years.
I really haven’t done anything to it yet. I haven’t even started it or washed it.

I sort of figure for the name I may go with Storm Trooper to keep with Dales theme as he has wookie and darth, I mean its white and will probably miss the mark on everything. Either that or Handi-Job. What are your thoughts’s Im not really sure.

Anyway as you can see it does need alot of work but I would like to save this one.

As for plans- I will see if I can get the 2cyl running and really decide form there. If I was to upgrade the engine I would have a choice of the efdet with the turbo gearbox or an ejde. Either one would be a big power upgrade but lots of cosideration on what I need to do to make it happen will take place.
What do you think?
2cyl refreshed?
efdet?
ejde?
anyway here is the pics.

I did do a vid but I will get to that later

As previously discussed, I am super excited. Learn from my mistakes and do what you want without outside influences, other people have been a constant stumbling block for me for years.

Well, Handi Job might lead to some misunderstandings. Especially, if you have a Job emblem cast out of a 3D printer and then substitute it for that 3 door plate following Handi
If there’s no coolant in the system, chances are that it leaked out, after the overhead blew its head gasket. If the head gasket is still intact, I’d leave it as it is, for awhile.
Replacing the drive train with the one you’re planning will give the car quite a high final drive ratio perfect for doing burnouts, given the smaller circumference of those 10 inchers
