Hi guys, so I’m back at trying to piece my Move together as finding hubs for this car in my country pretty impossible, when a car does come up, it is literally the first part that is stripped. In any case, daewoo matiz hubs won’t work as the shaft diameter and teeth don’t match and chopping and welding shafts seem a bit extreme at the moment…although not out of the question.
So I thought of cuore l7 hubs, the steering rack end is shared with the move, so that is one battle won, the l7 outer cv also matches the teeth of the Moves shaft, which is another win, well there are 2 cvs one with 20 teeth one with 19 so not too sure here atm, if not i will just use the moves cage in the l7 cv body. Then I just need the measurement of the l7 ball joint to complete the puzzle.
Anybody have it on hand?
Which is the one it uses the cast iron or the welded one??
Both fit but if your doing 4x100 conversion then use the Cast LCA as they bolt to the sub frame inplace of the L600 ones. You will need to extend your cv shaft (atleast the driver side anyway) as the L600 hub setup is different to the 4x100 type, especially the outer cv joint.
doing that does not change you will need to cut n shut the cv shaft. You cant use the outer L6 cv on a L7 hub. The splines are in different places. hence why you need to lengthen your drive shaft. This has been covered many times in the forum. I may have it in my move thread. Also @ceiliee has covered 4x100 many times and is about the latest one to do it as far as I’m aware.
Not being an ass just trying help. here is a bad pic from what I mean.
If its of any help here is a link to my very old crappy youtubes from over 10 years ago. Hve a look through I do have some good info in there. You just have to put up with how dodgey I am haha
No not at all, this is all truly frustrating I understand. And the video is very helpful thank you, it’s a great resource seeing others having knocked their heads with these same issues before me, saves me some pain!! Are l200 shafts and l600 shafts the same length?
I see the length difference in the l700 and l600 outer cv cup. Wouldn’t the cup make up the difference, or would the driveshafts still need modification.
I actually never welded a drive shaft I found the passenger side to be fine but for the driver side I bought Jackshafts from Yahoo Japan Auctions and I have to use camber bolts as it was still a tiny bit short and gave + camber. Many others have Cut n shut the drive shafts.
The cups don’t make up the difference.
Here is a link to Ceilee’s thread. You will probably find that most helpful.
Also here is a Link to my old Move Thread. Just incase there is something useful in there.
Also a link to my Budget Track hack I had where I did a 4x114.3 conversion.
Right so I managed to source both front hubs calipers discs etc complete off a g11 charade, so now my question is, will this bolt directly onto the Moves strut steering tie rod and ball joint, the outer cv will fit on the Moves shaft no problem.
this is uncharted territory for me hahaha. Your gonna have to make your own call on this one.
They look promising. G11 is 4x110 same as a Move. The brakes look bigger than a moves brakes. If they work that would be a bonus.
